Description
No. 41 Peel Street is a house built after 1850, with restoration carried out in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a rendered rear and left gable, stucco dressings, and a slate roof with two coped gable stacks. The wooden gutter and brackets have been renewed. The house has two storeys and a three-window range of plain sashes, each with splayed keystone lintels. The central wooden doorcase is adorned with Corinthian pilasters and console brackets supporting a projecting cornice. The doorcase includes a panelled reveal with a moulded four-panel door and an overlight. On either side of the door, there is a plain sash window with a keystone lintel. The rear of the house has renewed windows, including a colour-glazed round-headed stair window and a stucco doorcase with an entablature.
