Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building on the north side of High Street. It is three storeys high and constructed of red brick with a wooden eaves cornice. The front elevation has three windows on the upper floors, each with carved stone lintels, keystones, and string courses at the cills. The windows lack glazing bars. The ground floor has a single window and a doorway with plain pilasters and an entablature topped with a cornice. The door consists of six fielded panels, recessed and leading up four steps, with panelled reveals. A plinth runs along the base. To the left is a round-headed doorway with a stone head and keystone, containing a six-panel door with wrought iron hinges. The building is part of a wider group that includes numbers 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, 66 to 100 (even).
