Description

The buildings at 28 and 30 High Street date back to the 17th century, with later alterations. They have a steep pantile roof with rendered ends and brick stacks. An eaves cornice runs around the building. The two-storey facade is rendered and features four modern windows with four lights and casement frames. There are three windows on the ground floor. A decorative band separates the ground and first floors. Number 28 has a door consisting of six fielded panels, with fielded paneling to the reveals. This door is set within a late 18th-century doorcase made of moulded wood, featuring an ornamental frieze and cornice. Number 30 has a modern door beneath a three-light rectangular fanlight. Numbers 28 and 30 form a group with the neighbouring properties numbered 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, 66 to 100 (even).
