Description
Nos 35 and 35A on High Street are 17th-century buildings featuring a steep pantile roof with one rendered and one brick chimney stack at the gable ends. The buildings are two storeys tall and constructed of painted brick. The left side of the building slightly projects forward. There are two windows on the upper floor, which are hung sashes with bare glazing. The ground floor includes a small early 19th-century shop front on the left with large glazing bars, while the right side has a small shop front with two windows, plain pilasters, and glazing bars. There is a passage entry to the left, and the right side features a brick eaves cornice. These buildings, along with Nos 29 to 35 (odd), 35A, and Nos 37 to 69 (odd), form a cohesive group, with Nos 37 to 41 (odd) noted for local interest.
