Description
The stable at number 53 was built in 1790, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and four bays arranged in a 1:1:2 pattern, with entrances on opposite sides. The main entrance consists of a boarded stable door set beneath a segmental arch, flanked by ventilation slits. The eaves cornice is stepped, and the raised gables have tumbled-in brickwork with rounded saddles. On the rear elevation, there is a blocked door with a small replacement taking-in door at ground level, along with three boarded taking-in doors on the upper floor. The datestone above the door reads: 'E. R S 1790'.
