Description

ST AUGUSTINE'S GATE 1. 5266 (East Side) No 40 TA 1828 NE 1/80 8.3.78. II GV 2. Includes No 2 George Street. Mid C19. Brown brick. Hipped slate roof. Two storeys. Bracketed eaves cornice. Two sashes to St Augustine's Gate, and 4 to George Street with glazing bars and moulded stucco heads. Shop front with 4 pilasters taking fascia and moulded cornice: central door with 2 moulded panels. George Street elevation has one shop window, with pilasters taking fascia and moulded cornice: glazing bars; and door with 4 moulded panels and oblong fanlight, in Tuscan doorcase. Rounded corner.
