Description

No. 4 Market Place is a mid-19th century building constructed of brown brick. It stands three storeys tall, with its roof concealed by a stuccoed parapet that features anthemion decoration at the corners. The building has a single range of sash windows with glazing bars, which are adorned with channelled stucco voussoirs and ornamented keystones. The shop front has been renewed but still retains its original moulded pilasters and moulded, scrolled consoles supporting a modern fascia.
