Description
The Rectory is a vicarage, now a house, built around 1840 with later extensions to the east in the same style. It is constructed of pale brown and yellow brick, featuring a timber cornice and a slate roof. The building originally has an L-shaped plan and presents a symmetrical facade of two storeys and three bays, which has been extended by one bay. The doorway is topped with a round gauged brick arch over a panelled door with a fanlight. There is a canted bay window to the right of the main door, which includes margin lights, while the rest of the windows are 16-pane sashes. The garden elevation is also symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, and includes a French window. Inside, the property retains several original features, including a cut string staircase with turned balusters, newels, and a handrail.
