Description
The Methodist Chapel, built in the late 18th century, features an additional bay added to the left in 1868. It is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof and stone dressings. The chapel is a single-storey building with four bays arranged in a 1:1:2 pattern. The entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight that has glazing bars, set within a pilastered door-case. This is flanked by sash windows with sills and glazing bars, all under flat gauged brick arches. The building has a stepped and dentilled eaves cornice, and the gables are raised and coped, each featuring an oculus. Inside, there is a rail with turned balusters, and a readers' desk with sunk moulded panels and scrolls on the lectern, which is flanked by a balustrade.
