Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the west side of Market Place in South Cave. It has been divided into separate properties. The building is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. It is two stories high and originally five bays wide, with the central bay projecting slightly. The ground floor features a central 20th-century glazed door, with a late 19th-century shop front with pilasters on the right and a late 20th-century bank frontage on the left. The first floor has five 2-pane sash windows, each with a sill beneath a flat, gauged brick arch. The roof has tumbled-in brick to the raised gables, brick kneelers, and end stacks; the original roof pots are missing.
