Description

This house, located opposite the east end of Bacchus Lane in South Cave, is likely from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of coursed oolitic limestone rubble that has been colour-washed, with brick dressings and a pantiled roof. The building is a single storey with attics and features a three-cell plan. The entrance consists of a two-panel door, which is flanked on the right by a two-light sliding sash window with louvred shutters, and on the left by two similar windows. The house has a stepped brick eaves cornice and an end stack on the right side. The raised gables show tumbled-in brickwork.
