Description

The gate piers date from the early 18th century and are possibly designed by Lord Burlington. They are made of white limestone and consist of a pair of rusticated piers featuring raised and fielded panels on their main sides. Each pier has a deep moulded cornice, although the finials have fallen off. These piers serve as the gateway to the gardens located at the rear of the former Londesborough Hall. Londesborough Park is also recognized in the HBMC County Register of Gardens at Grade II*.
