Description
The building is a cowhouse located about 30 metres to the south-west of Buckton Hall, dating from 1744. It is constructed of chalk ashlar on brick footings, featuring stone dressings. The roof is swept pantiled with raised gables, stone coping, and shaped kneelers. The building has a rectangular shape with a symmetrical elevation, consisting of one storey and three bays. The windows and central doorway display alternating block jambs with flat heads and fanned keyblocks, although the windows have been replaced in the 20th century. A stub of a quadrant wall remains on the right side. Inside, there is an axial timber arcade with round-headed arches supported by Tuscan columns, which separates the stalls.
