Description

Welton Mill is a watermill dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantiled roof. The building stands five storeys high and has two bays. There are two openings with two lights, which either contain sliding sashes with glazing bars or louvres. The mill has a stepped brick eaves cornice and plain close verges, along with end stacks. It is reported that the machinery, including a timber water-wheel, remains intact, although a close inspection was not allowed.
