Description
The Game Larder at Thorpe Hall is a late 19th-century structure featuring a timber-frame and a graduated slate roof. It has an octagonal plan with an inner octagonal larder. The building includes a pointed door set in a plain wooden surround and pointed openings adorned with Y-tracery. The roof is octagonal and pyramidal, topped with a central louvred lantern that also has a swept octagonal pyramidal shape. Inside, there is a marble bench supported by octagonal wooden columns that have moulded caps and bases. This building is included in the listing for its group value context.
