Description

This mid-19th century gate-keepers’ house is located on Keldspring Lane, near Barby Moor. It was possibly designed by G.T. Andrews. The building is constructed of brick, which has been colour-washed with a slate roof. It comprises a two-storey, two-bay central range flanked by single-bay gabled cross-wings at each end. The ground floor features sash windows with sills and glazing bars. Similarly styled sash windows are present on the first floor. A plain boarded door is positioned centrally on the right elevation, alongside a sash window with glazing bars. The building has overhanging eaves and axial stacks featuring paired flues and strainer arches.
