Description
Burlington Methodist Church, built around 1884 and designed by architect Joseph Earnshaw, is an Italianate building constructed of pale brick with ashlar dressing. The church features end turrets topped with domed roofs and iron finials. A central pediment is adorned with stone ornamentation. The façade includes five windows, with the outer two set in bays that are marked by channelled rusticated pilasters. These windows have segmental stone heads with carved keystones, aprons, and a band at the cills and between the storeys. The ground floor contains two windows and two doorways, which are framed by carved pilasters and pediments, also featuring keystones. The entrance has double carved fielded doors beneath segmental fanlights, along with a date stone.
