Description
Nos. 234, 236, and 238 on New Chester Road are three houses built in 1898 by Grayson and Ould. The houses are constructed of brick with a plaster first floor and feature a hipped tile roof. They are one storey with an attic and consist of three bays. There is a timber band above the ground floor. The windows have small-paned casements, with the ground floor featuring four-light windows and the first floor having three-light flat-topped half dormers. Each entrance has a plank door. The houses have two cross-axial stacks, and the returns include raking buttresses that are flush with the front. The rear of the houses is similar in design.
