Description
This house was built around 1835, with later additions made to it. It is constructed of stucco, with some red brick and a tile roof. The central part of the house is one storey and has three bays, with additional sections to the left which are one storey and to the right which are two storeys. The central section features a frieze and a projecting cornice supported by brackets. Decorative Ionic pilasters are present at the ends. A canted bay window has angle pilasters and windows with a Tudor-style head. The central porch has similar Ionic pilasters and a round-headed entrance with a half-glazed door featuring round-headed lights. The flanking bays have brick Lombard friezes and embattled parapets; the left bay has a 20th-century entrance and window, while the right bay includes a two-storey rectangular bay, mirroring the centre on the ground floor, with a 20th-century window on the first floor. Ornate iron railings, gates and gate piers are located at the right-hand end of the front garden. The rear of the house is similar in style and includes a basement. The end bays are canted, and the central two bays feature a gable and two canted bay windows. An ornate balcony is situated on the ground floor.
