Description
A pair of houses, built around 1835. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a slate roof. They are two storeys high and eight bays wide. The first, third, sixth, and eighth bays project forward under gables with decorative bargeboards; the second and seventh bays have coped gables. The central bays feature stepped three-light windows with a label mould on the ground floor. The first floor has a corbelled-out gabled half-dormer. The third and sixth bays have gabled porches, with entrances featuring Tudor heads and hood moulds, flanked by lancets. The first floor of the third bay has a Tudor-head window, while that of the sixth bay has been replaced with a canted bay window. The second and seventh bays have Tudor-head windows, those in the seventh bay with flanking lights, and a gabled ground floor. The first bay has a 20th-century ground floor window with a label mould, and two Y-tracery windows on the first floor. The eighth bay includes a 20th-century two-storey rectangular bay window. The property features several stacks with ornamental chimney pots. At the front of number 28 is a pair of gate piers and ornamental railings defining the front garden. The rear of the property includes a basement and has canted bay windows in the third and sixth bays. An ornate iron balcony is also present.
