Description
Broadclyst House is a house built around 1830, featuring a stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with six bays, where the two central bays are recessed. This area includes a portico supported by three paired columns and a simply moulded cornice. The front has two blocked windows, while the remaining windows are hornless sashes, each with six panes, some made of crown glass.
On the left-hand side elevation, there are two large bays distinguished by prominent round-headed arches, with sash windows above on the first floor, each having six panes with margin panes. Below, there are two garden doors leading into a later 19th-century glazed veranda with six bays. The garden elevation at the rear also has six bays, featuring panelled pilaster quoins. The windows on this side match those on the front, except for the two central first-floor windows, which each have fifteen panes. The interior has not been inspected.
