Description
These are five houses located on Central Road in Port Sunlight, built in 1906 by H. Blomfield Bare. The houses are constructed with a pebbledash finish to the upper walls, with brick detailing on the ground floor, and have a pantile roof.
The houses are arranged over two storeys and five bays. The central bay projects forward under a gable, and the end bays project under gables with jettied first floors supported by bressumers. A dentilled brick cornice is present on the central bay. The windows are small-paned casements. The central ground floor bay features three segmental-headed lights. The second and fourth bays have four-light canted bay windows with flat tops, while the end bays have rectangular bays with three-light windows. The first floor includes four-light canted oriels, those in the gabled bays having cornices. Segmental-headed entrances are fitted with overlights and two-panel doors incorporating leaded lights. There are two cross-axial and return lateral chimney stacks. Returns have lean-to porches. The rear elevation is similar, with canted dormers.
