Description
A terrace of seven houses located on Greendale Road, Bebington, built in 1899 as part of the Port Sunlight model village development. Designed by Grayson and Ould, the houses are constructed of brick with a tile roof. They are arranged as one storey with an attic, and comprise seven bays, with the central three bays projecting slightly and covered by a hipped roof, the central bay further projecting beneath a shaped gable. A cornice runs above the ground floor. The windows have elliptical heads, detailing with keys and plaster tympana. The ground floor windows are 3-light leaded casements with transoms. The first-floor windows are in shaped half-dormers and have three lights. The central bay has paired 2-light transomed windows, and an elliptical-headed recess above with a projecting gabled surround and a gable stack. Stone panels inscribed "L B LTD" and "1899" are incorporated into the dormer windows at either end. The elliptical-headed entrances feature fanlights above plank doors with leaded lights, and the end entrances are canopied. There are three cross-axial stacks and gable-end stacks. The rear elevation is similar and includes plaster privies.
