Description

This is a terrace of seven houses located at 33 to 39 Greendale Road, built in 1901 by architects Ernest George and Yeates. The houses feature a roughcast exterior on a brick base and have tiled roofs. They are two storeys high and consist of seven bays. The third to sixth bays have hipped roofs, while the fourth and fifth bays are recessed. The first, second, and seventh bays project forward and are gabled. The first and second bays have jettied first floors supported by a central post, and the eaves of the recessed bays are supported by curved brackets. The end bay has a jettied gable.

The windows are small-paned casements with five lights, while the first, second, fourth, and fifth bays have six-light canted bay windows, with the fourth, fifth, and seventh bays featuring two-storey versions. The entrances include overlights and doors with small-paned lights, two of which have flat canopies. There are three cross-axial stacks, as well as stacks located in the valley between the first and second bays and at the return of the seventh bay; all stacks have corbelled caps with tile roofing. A rainwater head dated 1900 is also present. The rear of the houses is similar in design and includes privies.
