Description
Bidston Court Lodge is a lodge built around 1891 for the former Bidston Court, designed by Grayson and Ould. The building is constructed of brick with rendered principal elevations and features pargetted panels on both floors. It has decorative tile bands on the roof and is two storeys tall with a two-unit plan, the main front situated beneath a gable. There is a side entrance with a weather hood supported by moulded brackets at the angle of a projecting stack, which has diaper decoration and three fluted shafts. A similar chimney is located opposite. The lodge includes a shallow canted bay Ipswich window in the gable and a similar window in the jettied upper storey. The original Bidston Court was relocated from its original site between 1929 and 1931 and re-erected at Frankby as Hill Bark.
