Description
This building, located at 212-216 New Chester Road, consists of three houses built in 1899 by William and Segar Owen. The structure features a combination of brick and pebbledash with a tiled roof and stands two storeys high with three bays, the first bay being recessed under a gable. The ground floor has a weathered sill and a flat band, with gauged-brick cambered arches above three-light leaded casements. On the first floor, there are four-light double-chamfered-mullioned windows, which have brick mullions and deep brick sills. The entrances are topped with gauged-brick cambered arches and feature plank doors, with the door for No. 216 having an overlight. A cross-axial stack is present, and the returns display pebbledash with diapering; the return for No. 216 has two bays with a gable and a lateral stack. The rear of the building is similar, featuring small-paned casements, tile-hung gables, and privies.
