Description

Three houses, built in 1899 by Wilson and Talbot as part of the Port Sunlight model village. The houses are constructed of brick with a plastered first floor and stone dressings, finished with a tile roof. They are two storeys high, with a three-bay arrangement, the end bays projecting and topped with hipped gables. A stone cornice runs above the ground floor, with a further cornice to the end bays, which feature quoins with projecting ribs. The windows are double-chamfered-mullioned, with leaded glazing. The ground floor windows are four-light, with a central, five-light timber canted bay window. The first-floor windows are three-light, and there’s a central, five-light timber canted oriel. The entrances feature four-panel doors with leaded lights; the front door has a hipped canopy with a low wall and timber column, while the doors to the returns have canopies. There are two stacks in the roof slope. The rear elevation is similar and includes privies.
