Description

The cross base and sundial, located approximately 23.5 metres south of the tower of Saint Thomas's, is a Grade II listed structure. The cross base is possibly medieval, while the sundial dates from the 18th century. It features a square stone base on a step with a square mortise. The original cross has been replaced by a fluted Tuscan column that supports a square abacus, although the gnomon is missing.
