Description
The structure is a ha-ha located approximately 50 meters east of Meols Hall, including gazebos, and is likely from the 18th century. It was extended or restored at both ends in the 1960s. The ha-ha is made of dressed sandstone blocks and is about 100 meters long, running on a north-north-east to south-south-west axis. The original section consists mainly of a single course of very large dressed blocks with a rounded coping, while the eastern and western portions are made of coursed sandstone blocks with ridged coping. At each end, there is a 20th-century gazebo designed in an early 18th-century style. This ha-ha forms a group with Meols Hall.
