Description

No. 1, Southport Road, is an 18th-century house located on the north side of Southport Road, Formby. The house is constructed of whitewashed brick with a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with four bays; the first bay is recessed slightly, and the two end bays are taller, potentially indicating a later addition. The ground-floor windows are three-light horizontally sliding sashes. The end bays feature segmental-headed casements, while the third bay has a small-paned casement over the entrance. The house has a cross-axial stack and a right gable end stack. A battered buttress is visible on the left return. The rear of the property features an outshut and windows with horizontally sliding sashes.
