Description

Two houses, early 18th century. Constructed of brick, with a thatched roof over the first two bays and a slate roof over the remaining bays. The cottages are one storey with an attic, comprising five bays in total; the first two bays are of two storeys. No. 2 Corner Cottage consists of two bays, and No. 4 Linton Cottage comprises three bays. The ground-floor windows are 3-light horizontally sliding sashes, with some having glazing bars; one window to the first bay of the first floor is a 2-light sash. No. 2 has an entrance with a lean-to canopy, and No. 4 has a wide-boarded entrance door. A timber gutter runs along the thatched roof. There are three gable-end stacks and one cross-axial stack. The right return elevation includes one horizontally sliding sash window, and additional windows are located to the rear, including an eyebrow dormer to No. 2.
