Description
The mortuary house, built around 1870, is likely designed by the architect Bodley. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof, along with two drip moulds and a parapet. The side returns have coped gables; the left side has a blocked window and a fluted gutter spout, similar to that found on the vestry of the Church of St John on West Derby Road. The right side displays a blank shield within a panel. The rear of the building has a blocked entrance, which was sealed in 1984. This structure is located in the north-west corner of the garden of the Vicarage for St. John's on West Derby Road.
