Description

This is a lodge, likely dating from around 1847 and designed by H. L. Elmes. It is constructed of stone with a hipped slate roof. The lodge is one storey high and has three bays, with the first bay projecting. The top entablature features a bracketed frieze and rusticated quoins. The windows have angle pilasters; the window in the first bay is tripartite, the window in the return bay is sash with glazing bars, and the window in the end bay is a small-paned casement. The central entrance has an architrave raised over a panel and a bracketed cornice. There are two gabled stone stacks. The lodge was originally built as a lodge to Druid's Cross House, which has since been demolished.
