Description
Beaconsfield and The Cottage are a pair of houses built before 1848. They are constructed from stone and topped with a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and feature three bays on each side. The design includes quoins and two gables. The windows are mullioned, consisting of two and three lights, with the first bay featuring a canted window. The central entrance is adorned with a continuous label mould that extends to the first floor. There are one-light windows in the gables, and the gables themselves are coped and topped with finials. The houses also have clustered chimney stacks. The right side of the building mirrors the left, featuring a central round-headed entrance with a complete fanlight and a six-panel door. The porch is supported by chamfered columns and includes a drip mould and parapet.
