Description

Abbots Lea, the original mansion, is a house dating from the 1860s, now part of a school. It is constructed of stone with a slate roof and features two storeys plus an attic, with seven bays. The first bay projects forward beneath a gable, while the sixth bay includes a two-storey rectangular bay window. A corbelled cornice runs along the top. The windows are designed with mullions and transoms. The second bay has a gabled porch that features a Tudor-arched entrance and a glazed extension.
