Description
Harthill Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge located on Calderstones Road. The building is constructed of stucco and features a hexagonal slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with five bays, where the end bays project forward under pediments. The end bays are adorned with paired flat pilasters, friezes, and modillioned cornices, while the central bays are rusticated and topped with a cornice. The round-headed windows in the end bays have impost courses and archivolts, and all windows are sashed with glazing bars. The central bays include a three-bay arcade supported by antae, with the central and right-hand arches glazed, and the entrance is located in the return. The returns feature tripartite windows set in architraves, with the left return having a blind window. There is a low rear extension. Harthill Lodge was built as the lodge to Hart Hill.
