Description

The entrance to Calderstones Park, dating from the mid-19th century, features entrance gates flanked by curving walls on either side. The tall gate piers are adorned with herms, and there are four statues on the wall that represent the seasons, which were taken from Brown's Buildings, constructed between 1861 and 1863 by J.A. Picton. The paired iron gates display the Liverpool arms.
