Description
A terrace of fourteen houses, numbered 1 to 27, forming a mews to those on Huskisson Street, was built around 1840. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have slate roofs. Each house is two storeys high with a basement, and contains two bays. Architectural details include a basement lintel band, a first-floor sill band, a top frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows generally have wedge lintels and small-paned casements. The entrances feature angle pilasters, friezes, and cornices, most with 20th-century six-panel doors, with blind windows positioned above the doors. Original iron area railings are present. Houses 1, 5, 25, and 27 retain sash windows with glazing bars. Number 27 has a two-panel door.
