Description
59, 61, and 63 Catharine Street are three houses built in the 1830s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. There is a basement lintel band, a first-floor sill band, a top frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrances are adorned with Ionic porches that have unfluted columns; the porches for Nos 61 and 63 are paired and have three columns between them. Decorative heads are present on the railings to the areas and steps.
