Public house. Mid C19. Stucco with slate roof. Restrained Italianate style.4 storeys; one bay to Ranelagh St, slightly inset curved corner of 3 bays, and 2 bays to Cases St. Art Nouveau pub front of c.1900 to ground floor with marble pilasters and plinth, bowed windows with engraved glass, decorated brass plaques and enriched cresting. Panelled doors flanked by decorated brass panels and crowned by coloured glass fanlights, wrought iron hotel sign, fascia board with brackets. 1st and 2nd floor articulated. by pilastrade with flat pilasters; 2nd floor sill band; top cornice and blocking course. 1st floor windows have architraves, friezes and consoled cornices, those to corner have enriched architraves and friezes. 2nd floor corner windows have eared architraves. All windows to upper floors are sashed with glazing bars. Interior has panelling, engraved mirrors, scagliola columns and enriched plasterwork.
