Description

A row of four houses, numbers 21 to 27 Sandon Street, built in the 1830s. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have slate roofs. They are three storeys high with a basement, and each house has two bays. A sill band runs across the first floor, and there is a top frieze and cornice. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. Each house has an entrance with pilasters and an entablature; the central houses share paired entrances. Decorative iron railings are present to the areas and steps. Numbers 21 and 25 have two-panel doors, while number 23 has a half-glazed door. Number 27 is in a derelict state, with boarded-up ground floor openings and missing windows, a condition observed in 1984.
