Description

Churchfield is a house built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. There is a flat band above the ground floor, along with a top frieze and cornice. The windows are sashed and include glazing bars. The porch has a round-headed window at the front and an entrance with a four-panel door on the left side. To the right of the door, there is an inscribed prayer that reads: "WHO SOE COMETH TO THYS HOUSES/O GOD DOE THOU PROTECTE/AND WHOSOE GOETH FORTH FROM HENCE/JESU HYS WAYE DIRECTE". There is also a later lean-to bay on the left side of the building.
