Description
Nos. 72 and 74 Upper Parliament Street are two houses built in the 1820s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof. Each house is two storeys high with a basement and features three bays. There is a basement course, and the windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars. The areas and steps have iron railings with anthemion heads, along with iron gates and gate piers leading to the basement steps. The end bays of No. 72 project forward, and its central entrance has a panelled Ionic porch. No. 74 has a similar entrance but lacks the porch, featuring angle pilasters and an entablature instead.
