Description

This is a terrace of three houses located on Hope Street, built in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof. Each house has two bays, and all three houses share a common design. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows; the first and second-floor windows feature glazing bars. The fronts include a stone basement, a sill band at the first floor, a top frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. Plain iron area railings run along the front. The entrances to numbers 41 and 43 are round-headed, framed by Doric doorcases and stucco archivolts decorated with honeysuckle ornament. Number 45 has an architrave with fluting and evidence of a pediment.
