Description
Bloomfield House on Eastgate is a pair of houses built in the 1850s. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. Each house has two storeys and two bays, with the central two bays projecting forward under a pediment. There is a sill band on the first floor, along with a frieze supported by brackets and a cornice. The windows feature architraves; the ground floor windows have panelled aprons, friezes, and cornices, while the first floor windows have eared architraves. All windows are sashed with glazing bars. The houses have pedimented returns and porches with entrances framed by eared architraves, and the front windows include stained margin lights. However, No 44 is currently derelict, missing its pediment and brackets.
