Description

The Dovecote, also known locally as the Pigeon Hole, is a Georgian Gothic pigeon loft built above a pig sty. It is designed as a stone battlemented tower, square in shape and tapering upwards. The structure features a cornice or ledge supported by brackets and has a flat top. It is situated in a grassy triangle at a road junction. The Dovecote, along with Whitefield House, the Pigeon House, and No. 112, forms a group of buildings.
