Description

The Village Cross in Huyton, located on the west side of Blue Bell Lane, was built in 1897 to replace an earlier cross from 1820 designed by Rickman. It is made of stone and features five octagonal steps leading up to a base adorned with quatrefoil panels. The cross has a tapering octagonal shaft topped with a cornice. The square top includes tracery panels with crocketed gables and a niche that houses a figure of St. Michael on the east side. A small spire completes the structure.
