Description
Bonds Fold Farmhouse and Greenhalgh Cottage are two houses built in 1694 and the early 19th century, respectively. They are constructed from sandstone rubble, featuring brick chimneys and a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars, and they have plain reveals along with stone lintels and sills.
The door, located between the bays of the farmhouse, has a chamfered stone surround and is topped with a battlemented lintel inscribed with '1694 WH'. There is a straight joint to the left of the door, where the left part of the facade displays watershot masonry. Greenhalgh Cottage, situated to the right beyond another straight joint, has one bay and features modern windows with glazing bars in openings that have stone lintels and sills. The door of the cottage is located to the left under a modern timber porch and has plain reveals. Both buildings have chimneys on their gables and between them.
