Description
There are two pairs of entrance piers with linking walls at the entrance to the drive leading to Myerscough House, dating from the mid-18th century. The piers are made of rusticated sandstone ashlar. The outer piers are square in shape and feature moulded cornices and ball finials. Each side of the outer piers has an attached Doric pilaster with a triglyph. Curved walls made of squared rubble with copings connect the outer piers to the inner piers that flank the drive. The inner piers are also constructed from rusticated ashlar and are square in plan, although their tops appear to have been rebuilt.
