Description
Brock Aqueduct, located in Myerscough, is an aqueduct that carries the Lancaster Canal over the River Brock. The canal was opened in 1797 and was engineered by John Rennie. The structure is built from large sandstone blocks, with a rock-faced finish on the lower part and a punched finish above. The walls are battered and have a concave shape in plan. It features a single low elliptical arch and has a moulded cornice beneath a solid parapet.
